Dr. Rick Jaminet D.C.
Hello, I’m Dr. Rick J Jaminet. My wife Nancy and I are both natives of Iowa. I’m from Cherokee in the northwest part of the state, and she’s from Lost Nation, in the east central area. Our vacations are spent in traveling to Iowa and across it.
We have two girls and two boys. The oldest is 11 and the youngest is 8 months. As in most families, our children are busy with their meetings; Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and T-ball. We home-school our oldest two and have the five year old in a half-day pre-kindergarten program. Much of our time is spent getting them where they’re supposed to be.
We also volunteer our time. Nancy is a leader in the La Leche League, for breast feeding mothers. She also lends her time to St. Thomas More Church in leading some classes for parents.
I received my education in Iowa, my under-graduate from Iowa State University and Buena Vista College, and my professional degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. My wife Nancy and I were married the day after graduation, and we moved to North Carolina, shortly afterwards. There I spent a year preparing for my state board examination. After passing my boards, we found this space here in Lynchburg, and in October of 1988, Nancy and I opened our office. She worked with me until our first child was born, and has been at home with our children ever since.
When I'm not in my office I enjoy golfing, and flying planes. I'm also active in the Knights of
Columbus for whom I call Bingo once a month.
