| Your First Office Visit Once you have made an appointment to see the doctor, we would welcome you to our office, and have you fill out the dreaded paper work. This gives Dr. Jaminet the necessary information for for a thorough consultation and examination. While we do like to be thorough, we like to eliminate as much paper work as possible, so our forms are not too long. Dr. Jaminet would then sit and talk with you about your problems and hear your history, which will be pertinent information for your care and healing. There is no charge for this consultation, and afterwards the doctor would tell you whether or not he feels that he can help you. If not, Dr. Jaminet will refer you to another health care specialist that he feels could do a better job with your problem. If the doctor feels that he can help you, an examination is the next step. Orthopedic, neurologic and chiropractic tests will be performed to determine the exact cause of your problem. After the initial testing, the Dr. may want to see some X-rays (taken in the office), a CT (CAT) scan, or MRI (both are referred out to the hospital, or to the Imaging Center here in town). The Dr. will consider the test results, applying factors such as how long you’ve had the problem, your overall health, and the extent of the injury or illness. Dr. Jaminet wants you to understand your problem and the treatment thereof, and take an active role in your recovery. If you ever have a question, he will take the extra time to give you an answer. If the doctor doesn’t have the answer immediately, he will research your question, and call you back with the information you request. |
